Title: Lithuanian Sauerkraut Supper

3 Strips bacon, cut into small
  Pieces
1smOnion, diced
1/2 Head cabbage, chopped fine
2smApples, diced
3tbBrown sugar
1 1/2tsCaraway seed
1lgCan sauerkraut
1/2cWater
2lbAny smoked sausage, cut up
  Into 2-inch pieces

Fry bacon until crisp; add onion. Fry onion until golden brown. Chop fresh cabbage; add 1/2 cup water and simmer until cabbage is soft. Add diced apples, caraway seed and brown sugar. Now add the sauerkraut. Mix well; add the smoked sausage and cook all the ingredients for 1 hour or bake in the oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
